By Marilyn J Ross

John Grisham has been one of America's most favorite authors since 1989. His books have sold over 250 million copies globally. As of this time there have been ten films made from his labor with one in the works.

The first motion picture from 1 of his books was "The Firm" in 1993. Tom Cruise plays a Harvard law school graduate who begins working for a Memphis law firm with links to the underworld. Also starring Jeanne Tripplehorn and Gene Hackman. Again in 1993, the 2nd movie from a Grisham tale came out. "The Pelican Brief" starring Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington.

"The Client" starring the late Brad Renfro, Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones was released in 1994. This movie follows the path of a young boy who by accident witnesses a suicide and is thus pursued by the mafia for information they consider he learned from the dying man.

Grisham's very first novel, and some may say his best work of fiction, was "A Time To Kill". This book was made into a motion picture in 1996 and it introduced an up and coming new actor in the lead role, Matthew McConaughey. It also starred Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey. Also from the year 1996 was "The Chamber" starring Chris O'Donnell, Gene Hackman and Faye Dunaway.

In 1998, the only picture from Grisham that was based upon an unpublished manuscript was released, "The Gingerbread Man" starring Kenneth Branagh and Robert Downey, Jr.

Of the four non-legal fiction writings by Grisham, two have been made into movies, "A Painted House" in 2003 and the holiday favorite, "Christmas with the Kranks" starring Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis and adapted from the book "Skipping Christmas".

In 2003, "The Runaway Jury" came out, starring Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman, John Cusack and Rachel Weisz. "The Associate", which was just released in January 2009, is intended to be a movie release in the year 2012.

Grisham has beyond doubt been one of the most famous and prolific writers in the recent past. Takamine Acoustic Left Hand And Electric Left Hand Oriented Guitars

By Zane J Freeman

Takamine is the first name that should come to mind when you're shopping for an acoustic left-handed guitar. Based out of Japan, Takamine uses Kaman Corporation to distribute its guitars in America. Every A/E guitar that they sell comes with their proprietary pre-amp/EQ, and that includes their acoustic left-handed guitars.

It should be pointed out that any model of Takamine A/E can be ordered in a left hand orientation.

Among the many series of Takamine acoustic electric left handed guitars, there are two that stand out. One of these is the G series and encompasses a wide variety of acoustic electric guitar, left hand models included. Most of them feature a spruce top that is solid with nato sides and back. Not real sure what nato is, but I know that the instruments are spectacular.

If you are looking at value, the Takamine acoustic electric guitar for lefties is the best. The body style remains unaltered, whereas the competition has changed the body style for left handed players. The left handed guitar keeps a classic dreadnought and has a flat rear and molded sides. This creates a rich acoustic timber and keeps the guitar from slipping as you play.

No comparably priced instrument has the quality of the Takamine guitar for left-handers. Unlike certain other guitar makers, Takamine has never altered its design. Takamine guitars have the classic dreadnought configuration with molded sides and a flat back. Thus, the acoustic tones that players know and love has never changed. The guitar will never fall out of a player's lap in the middle of a set.

Speaking of the pre-amp and EQ, the ones built in to every Takamine acoustic electric guitar left handed edition is exquisite. Most of the G series are made with Takamines TK4N electronics. This set up allows the musician to manually adjust the mid-range on the fly if needed and has a notch filter which is tunable.

I cannot finish this one without a word on Takamines Natural series. This is a more upscale model from the G series and features a Mahogany back and sides with a solid cedar top. Still, the Takamine Natural acoustic electric guitar left handed version is a great value for the money.

The Natural series of Takamine guitars also deserves mention. The Natural model is more expensive than the G series, and it comes with a solid cedar top and mahogany sides and rear. It is still an excellent value for its cost, because the quality of the wood is so high. The acoustic left-handed guitars produce excellent, clear tones, whether you buy an electric version or not. Takamine's attention to detail really shows when you use light to medium steel strings.

Left-handed guitar players need guitars specially designed for left-handers to produce quality results, and many of the best electric guitars can be found at www.lefthandedguitarmall.com. This site is intended to help left-handed players find the guitars that they need, and if you're a southpaw, you should visit the site without delay. - 18762

Wireless Outdoor Speakers - Back To The Great Outdoors

By Dave Heebs

Through our time here on Earth, we have always sought to be outdoors and enjoying ourselves. Even as we have mastered our environment and created houses and huge metropolitan cities, we still have something in us that longs to be outdoors and feel free. It is this yearning that leads us to the great outdoors so we can go biking, camping, go to parks to hang out or just enjoy a day outside by the pool.

Even though people may want to get back to nature, they still do not leave all of the technological world behind them. Electronic items are frequently accompanying their owners when they are going outside. Devices such as iPods have replaced the walkman of the 1980s.

With the iPod comes an attachment for your belt as well as a quality set of headphones that are of stereo quality. But these headphones have to be attached to your head and while this may entertain you, it is not going to entertain your guests if you want them to enjoy the music as well. To this end, the iPod has an external port that allows it to be connected to an external stereo speaker.

But the technology of speakers doesn't end with the iPod. If you want your stereo to hook up with speakers outdoors, you can do so because the speaker manufacturers have developed many different models for you.

A good set of quality speakers can be had in the range of $200-$450 and with this price they will not put a hole in your wallet. All of the major maufacturers such as Bose, Dell, Creative Labs, Infinity, Samsung and others have many different models for you to choose from.

You will love the ability to just take your speakers everywhere you go. The wireless outdoor speakers will allow you to take them to the mountains and the beach without having to worry about plugging them into a power source and running wires from the audio source.

Be careful to make sure the batteries in the wireless outdoor speakers are charged up. Since the speakers are separated from an existing power source they will need to have a self contained power source such as a battery. These batteries can be recharged from a typical light socket or they could be refreshed from a solar panel that is connected to the top of the speaker. - 18762
