Are you afraid of public karaoke performance? Before you start singing, you must: Memorize your songs - Discover the tune, the language, and practise the actions you are going to use. It is also really essential to learn and know precisely where to come in at the opening of the song.

Sleep - Get lots of rest the night before you perform.

Singing - Ease your voice on the day of your performance but make sure you warm it up right before you perform.

Eating - Make sure that you don't drink fizzy drinks or ice drinks before you sing. Same goes with milk, yoghurt, cream, ice cream, cheese etc. This is not at all advising that you should avoid taking these foods altogether. Just be careful that when you have to perform certain foods can interfere with your singing. Some people wait until after they perform to eat, but I wouldn't advise this. First reason is that you need the vigor to be able to sing well. I have also found that it's better to eat before you sing because it will help to keep your anxiety at a more manageable level. If you don't eat you will become even more worried and unable to control the anxiety.

Breathing - Deep breathing is advised to help you with performance anxiousness. The more you sing the easier it gets. However, this does not happen with everyone. Some people proceed to fight with anxiousness. The important thing you need to remember is to never give up. Don't let the fright stop you from doing what you know.

Dress to impress - When you are going to perform make sure that you dress fitly. It is advisable to be over dressed than under dressed.

Make up - Stage lights can make a person look washed out or really sick. So a bit of colour will help you to avoid this. Age appropriate make up please!

Hair - Make it look good!

Warm up your voice before you sing - Do your vocal drills, breathing and warm ups.

Arrive on time - You could get disqualified or a replacment might be found if you are late.

Smile - As soon as you walk on stage you have set about your performance. Put your shoulder joints back and smile confidently.

Enjoy yourself - Masses will savour your public presentation more if you are involved in what you are singing.

Mistakes - If you happen to make a mistake act as though nothing encountered and keep enduring. Don't say sorry, whoops, wind your eyes or commence laughing. Most people won't have a hint that you have made a fault.

Acknowledge and put across the content of the song - During performance it is very powerful to commune the message or story behind the song. Dont just stand like a statue. Learn about your character. Practice this at home when you sing your songs. If you do not practice beforehand you will not be able to make it materialise on the day of your performance.

Applause - Stand and accept the applause as it's being given and then walk off the stage. Constantly make sure that you hold off until the music ends before you depart. Remember that walking on and off stage are several important parts of your performance.

Reward yourself - After singing try not to recall about the negatives. A performance is rarely complete in every way. Don't allow slips or letdowns stop you from singing once more. A person who never makes any faults doesn't do anything. - 18762

Many think that music would be incomplete without the addition of the bass guitar to their rhythm sections. The modern bass guitar was designed by musical geniuses who wanted something different, something to fix the problems that they were having in their bands. The bass guitar has improved issues with not being able to hear someone with a low voice or not being able to hear the guitar over piano and brass sections.

The first electric bass guitar was purchased in 1935. It was created by Audiovox in Seattle, Washington and the designer was Paul H. Tutmarc. Paul was a musician and teacher, himself. The first bass guitar was made with piano strings. It was designed to be a simple to pick up instrument that was 42 inches long and was a bit cumbersome. This Electric Bass Fiddle, as it was called, was held in a horizontal manner and featured frets. This made it much easier to play than an acoustic bass.

Around 1935, there was a huge breakthrough in the music world. Paul H. Tutmarc invented the first electric bass guitar for Audiovox in Seattle. It was 42 inches long, solid and very heavy. It was cumbersome but it was huge in changing the way that music was played. It was played horizontally and with frets, which took care of two problems with the acoustic bass.

As with anything, there were many innovations that came about shortly after the precision was released. Danelectro presented consumers with the very first six string bass in 1959, and then in 1960, Fender released a similar model. In 1968, an eight string model was released by Hagstroem, once again showing the progression of innovation and technology in the music world.

However, this can't be forgotten in the history and development of the bass guitar. Right after Danelectro produced their six string model, Fender and Gibson came out with a five string model in 1964. Danelector's first fretless base was followed by the bass Aubi in 1965 and an eight string model in 1968 by Hagstroem.

Once the instrument was released in these forms, its popularity spread quickly. Professional musicians began playing these works of art and they started showing up in every color and style of the spectrum. The two main styles of bass guitar, the jazz and precision, began fading into each other more and more and making it hard to discern.

Musicians like Billy Wyman were one of the first to adopt the bass guitar as his favorite after converting a bass by removing the frets on it. There are many advantages to playing a fretless bass include better mobility between the notes, easier slides and smoother sounds. There are extended range bass guitars, as well. These models are great for advanced players who play a lot of solos and long jams. These models have more than four strings.
