Glover once made a notorious appearance on David Letterman's Television show playing the identical personality he does here. Cast includes Crispin Glover, Howard Hesseman, Karen Black, Michael Green, and Brittney Lewis. (92 minutes, 1992)

The Pajama Game: Adaptation of the Broadway lyrical hit with much of its cast intact essentially interprets the word "exuberance." Richard Adler and Jerry Ross' melodies contain "Hey, There." Dancer Haney stands out in her "Mist Heat" characteristic and in the lively "Once a Year Night" barbeque number. Cast includes Doris Day, John Raitt, Carol Haney, Eddie Foy, Jr., Barbara Nichols, and Reta Shaw. (101 minutes, 1957)

Darby O'Gill and the Little People: Momentous Disney fantasy in reference to an Irish caretaker (Sharpe) who tells so many unbelievable stories that no one believes him while he affirms he's befriended the Baron of Leprechauns. This film is a real pleasure, with some beaming visual effects. Cast includes Albert Sharpe, Janet Munro, Sean Connery, Jimmy O'Dea, Kieron Moore, and Estelle Winwood. (90 minutes, 1959)

Senso: Cautiously paced research of human feelings, chronicling the relation between earthy, materialistic Austrian officer Granger and his aristocratic Italian mistress (Valli). Cast includes Alida Valli, Farley Granger, Massimo Girotti, and Heinz Moog. (115 minutes, 1954)

Red Sorghum: Evocative, beautifully filmed amalgamation drama, black comedy, kid story, fable which journals a most non traditional union between a set of rural lovers throughout the 1920s. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, Ben Lyon, Joan blondell, Clark Gable, Charlotte Merriam, and Charles Winninger.

Pajama Party: Fourth beach party film moves inside, changes director and megastar (albeit Frankie Avalon and Don Rickles do have cameos). The Pleasure Garden: Hitchcock's first work, shot in Munich is a choppy account of a pair of chorus gals, one sugary and knowing, the other a waif. Seven Reasons That All Beatles Fans Should Buy The Beatles Mono Box Set

By Jason Peter Bachmann

I purchased The Beatles Mono Box Set as soon as it was available and I've been listening to it non-stop since I received it last week. After listening to it as much as I have, I can think of dozens of reasons that every Beatles fan should order it too but there's limited space here so I'm going to list just 7.

(1) You cannot buy the the mono Beatles CDs by themselves. For example if you want to buy the mono mix of Sgt. Pepper, you will need to buy the entire Beatles in Mono Box Set. This is different from the Beatles in Stereo Box Set because the remastered stereo CDs contained in that set are also the official Beatles CDs now and can be bought on their own too.

(2) In many cases the mono mixes of The Beatles songs sound significantly different from the stereo mixes. Of course any serious Beatles fan is going to want to hear these significant differences. One example of these differences is that the backwards guitar in "I'm Only Sleeping" comes in earlier in mono.

(3) If you are one of the many people who really hates the wide panning of many of The Beatles stereo mixes (where vocals and drums are panned hard left or hard right) you will probably find the mono mixes to be quite a relief.

(4) There are only a limited number of The Beatles in Mono Box Sets being made. There is no official statement on how many copies will be made. They are likely to become a collectors item in the future.

(5) Beatles purists believe that these mono Beatles albums represent "The Beatles as they were meant to be heard." These were the mixes that the band, their producers, and their recording engineers worked hardest on.

(6) The packaging is awesome. Each CD comes in a replica of the original vinyl release.

(7) The Beatles in Mono Box Set comes with an exclusive essay by Kevin Howlett which includes a lot of interesting information on the mono mixes. - 18762

Samples: Sampling is a huge part of making beats so it is crucial the beat making machine your using allows you to use wide a range of samples.

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap: It doesn't make any sense to invest in overly priced machines when you can get one for under $40.00 and still have all the features these expensive machines have. The cheaper might actually be better since more pricey machines are sometimes complicated and can take you a while to master the controls, let alone master your first beat.
