Ringback Tones Are Still Growing
If you have heard of ringback tones, you will probably also know by now that you can set up multiple ringbacks. Taking advantage of more than one ringback tone on your cell phone can be quite fun. I'm going to give you some ideas for making the most of this feature.
First thing, I have to tell you that my favorite customization is not even the music clips. I love to find fun audio clips for adding to my cellphone. Anyone can hear the latest pop song, in fact they are probably sick of it by now and it's the last thing they want to suffer through while waiting for me to answer my phone. I may as well put on elevator music.
The audio clips that I look for are old style comedy clips. Even though these haven't been in circulation for many many years, and have long ago exited the tv comedy show rotation, I think they are fun to find and put on my phone as my ringback tones. Since a lot of people that call me will be hearing these for the first time, it's actually seems like I have the coolest ringback tone around.
More typically, music clips will be the sound of choice for the majority of customers using ringback tones. If you spend any time searching the web for cool stuff for your cell phone, you've no doubt seen the endless ads for current R&B and pop hits downloadable as ringtones. Although not as prevalent, ringback tone selections pretty much echo the commercially available ringtone collections. The great thing is that the cell phone carriers stay up to date with current music releases, since obviously these are hugely popular.
Outside of the current pop-charts, if you are still more a music person than comedy or audio, there is bound to be an extensive selection you can choose your ringback tones from. Even if your musical taste is eclectic or obscure, the music libraries of cellphone carriers is quite extensive, and is updated regularly to cater to all sorts of different musical tastes.
In order to get the ringback tone to play for your caller when they dial you, you will need to go through your cellphone carrier. The easiest way is to use the web interface, where you can browse, preview, and order the ringback tone or ringback tones you want on your cell. Unfortunately, there is no way for you to upload your own tones, which also means that the possibility for you to upload free ringback tones is also out. Regardless of that, the fun ways that ringback tones allow you to customize your cellphone for your friends and relatives is still worth a few bucks to me, so you know that I'll keep using them. Well, that is until the next fun cellphone customization thing comes along. - 18762
