Noel Gallagher And His Epiphone Supernova Guitar
Nothing shouts rock god much more than a guitar that shows the guitar players name and band of one of the greatest bands or artist. Custom designed signature guitar models are an important part of any guitar designers selection and provides credibility and praise from the stars of now and yesteryear that use and recommend their guitars. It is also an important part of the overall marketing strategy of the maker - but it is a perfect way of selling more instruments.
Made in Korea, the Epiphone Supernova guitar is the personal guitar from Noel Gallagher from the pop band Oasis - the biggest, inspiring, problematic and best rock group of the previous twenty years. Noel is the songwriter behind Oasis, whist his brother Liam is the swaggering lead singer, always in the eye of the paparazzi and infamous for his loud manner, swearing and over the top celebrity credentials. Oasis are known for classic tracks such as Don't look back in anger and Shakermaker and their style of Brit Pop and acoustic and electric stands the ravages of time and is perfectly accessible to todays bands. Although they are more chilled out now and not as quite as popular as they used to be, they are still producing amazing albums under the genius of Noel - who also plans to release his solo album in the near future.
The 95 Epiphone Supernova is a custom designed version of the Sheraton guitar, another of the makers most popular guitars. The Supernova you can buy at the moment is not the same version as the one used by Noel though. For the promotion of the best selling album, Whats The Story Morning Glory, Noel was filmed posing with a custom Epiphone Sheraton emblazoned with the union jack logo. Designed to mimic that particular guitar, the public guitar version has a different shape, style and a few crucial alterations such as having different types of pick-ups, Alnico 57s as opposed to mini humbucker pickups as featured in the original. The originating model played by Noel hangs in the O2 arena in the UK as part of the British Music Experience exhibition.
The %KEYWORD1% is not made any longer but was made in various colors including the infamous signature union jack model designed by Noel. The other colors were blue to represent the Manchester City football team that Noel champions, Cherry Red and a very rare Ebony Black model. The guitar features big block fret markers, a slim and long scale kneck, a rose-wood fretboard, a vintage tremolo, a laminated body which allows it to be light to wear and much easier to play. The pickguard has Noels signature on and the Epiphone brand image.
The %KEYWORD1% generates warm sounds that are suitable for rock or blues. Sounding quite a little like a more pricy Gibson model, the %KEYWORD1% will deliver the sound you want. The build quality is also excellent and should be without manufacturing issues.
The %KEYWORD1% is overall, an excellent guitar and well worth buying - even more so if you also enjoy the band! - 18762
