Muse Concert: Paper-slim although cute romantic comedy in reference to a cleaned-up '80s pop megastar (Permit) who's shown with a gigantic crack-getting to perform a primordial melody with a modern-day music megastar (Bennett) if he might only find a lyricist with whom he could work with. She appears in the doubtful individual of a ditzy lady who's assumed to take care of the plants in his N.Y.C. condo. Permit is at his best, throwing off a constant flow of ludicrous lines. The Last Time I Committed Suicide: Mordantly stylized, stereotype-encumbered tale of beat writer Neal Cassidy ostensibly based on a letter he once inscribed to Jack Kerouac. Completely unsympathetic, angst-filled characters are set to even better disadvantage by a jumpy camcorder and abrasive lighting.
